Spiderbeam 12m HD Mast Der Spiderbeam Heavy Duty Fiberglasmast eignet sich perfekt zum Bau verschiedenster Antennen. Eine einzelne Person kann den Mast spielend leicht innerhalb weniger Minuten aufstellen. Speziell verstärkt und eigens entwickelt aufgrund unserer fortlaufenden Bemühungen nach noch besser belastbarem Portabel-Equipment! Dies sind extrem robuste Masten, mit deutlich dickerer Wandstärke (bis zu 2mm!) als die herkömmlichen "Angelruten". Sie sind in einer speziell verstärkten Wicklungsweise hergestellt - viele Lagen Fiberglas in abwechselnder Richtung (längs/quer) gewickelt ergeben eine deutliche Verstärkung in Längs- und Querrichtung. Stärkere Verbindungsstellen wurden außerdem durch eine deutlich größere Überlappung der einzelnen Rohrsegmente untereinander erreicht. Spiderbeam Heavy Duty Masten eignen sich prima zum Bau von 40/80/160m Draht Vertikals bzw. inverted L Antennen. (Lee W9OY hat damit z.B. eine leistungsfähige 80/40m Vertical aufgebaut) Sie eignen sich ebenso gut für leichte 1-Ele Quads oder Delta Loops für 20-10m, oder auch Dipole für alle Bänder, besonders bei Speisung mit Hühnerleiter (die meisten Baluns sind ein bisschen schwer). Mit mehreren dieser Masten ist der Bau von Leichtbau-Beams für 40 oder 80m denkbar. Da sogar das oberste Segment 8mm Durchmesser (und 1.4mm Wandstärke) auweist, kann man diese Stangen auf der vollen 12m Länge benutzen - bei anderen Stangen sind die obersten Segmente meist so dünn wie eine Reitpeitsche und daher kaum zu etwas zu gebrauchen. Während unserer Tests konnten wir 80m inverted Vee Dipole (aus 1mm Kupferlackdraht) ganz oben in der Mastspitze befestigen, was mit einer "Angelrute" auf keinen Fall möglich ist. In 9-10m Höhe lassen sich ohne Probleme kleine VHF/UHF Yagis befestigen. Der beste (und günstigste) Draht für solche Anwendungen (Vertikals, Loops, Dipole, etc.) ist 1mm Kupferlackdraht o.ä. Zum Abspannen eignet sich 1mm Angelsehne o.ä. hervorragend. Die ersten Prototypen wurden November/Dezember 2004 an der Nordsee bei Windstärken bis zu 120 km/h erfolgreich getestet! The camelback shape for a straight key dates back more than 150 years. Charles Chubbock in 1848, Thomas Hall, and Chester Brothers in New York produced some of the earliest keys with the characteristic “hump”. This key was inspired by the beauty of that shape, although it does not try to replicate any of the classical designs ( unlike our Postal Key, which is a faithful replica of a classical key of about the same era as the earliest camelbacks) Most old camelback designs have the hump located before the pivot to shift the mass more towards the knob. Unsere HD Versionen sind extrem robuste Masten, mit deutlich dickerer Wandstärke (bis zu 2mm!) als bei den herkömmlichen "Angelruten".Sie sind in einer speziell verstärkten Wicklungsweise hergestellt - viele Lagen Fiberglas in abwechselnder Richtung (längs/quer) gewickelt, ergeben eine deutliche Verstärkung in Längs- und Querrichtung. Stärkere Verbindungsstellen wurden außerdem durch eine deutlich größere Überlappung der einzelnen Rohrsegmente untereinander erreicht. Da dieser neue 14m HD Mast technisch gesehen eine Erweiterung des erfolgreichen 12m HD Mastes "nach unten" ist, gelten für ihn dieselben Testergebnisse, die wir schon im Dezember 2004 an der Nordsee bei Windstärken von bis zu 120 km/h erhalten haben!Wir haben bei erneuten Tests aktuell die gleiche Stabilität bei dem 14m HD Mast ermitteln können. Spiderbeam Heavy Duty Masten eignen sich auch prima zum Bau von 40/80/160m Draht Verticals bzw. inverted L Antennen.Sie eignen sich ebenso gut für leichte 1-Ele Quads oder Delta Loops für 20-10m, oder auch Dipole für alle Bänder, besonders bei Speisung mit Hühnerleiter (die meisten Baluns sind ein bisschen schwer). Mit mehreren dieser Masten ist der Bau von Leichtbau-Beams für 40 oder 80m denkbar.Da das oberste Segment - wie beim 12m HD Mast - 8mm Durchmesser (und 1.4mm Wandstärke) hat, kann man den Mast auch auf der vollen 14m Länge für einen Draht o.ä. benutzen - bei anderen Fiberglas-Angeln und Masten sind die obersten Segmente meist so dünn wie eine "Reitpeitsche" und daher kaum zu etwas zu gebrauchen. Während unserer Tests konnten wir 80m inverted Vee Dipole (aus 1mm Kupferlackdraht) ganz oben an der Mastspitze befestigen, was mit einer "Angelrute" auf keinen Fall möglich ist. Der beste (und günstigste) Draht für solche Anwendungen (Verticals, Loops, Dipole, etc.) ist 1mm Kupferlackdraht o.ä. Alle unsere Fiberglasmasten können übrigens um beliebige Segmente gekürzt (einfach unten öffnen und entnehmen) und dann mit der sich ergebenden Länge verwendet werden. Durch die unten größere Bauweise (Durchmesser) des 14m HD Mastes, kann man an diesem Mast Drahtantennen wie z.B. unsere 807 oder 404 noch höher installieren als auf dem 12m HD Mast. In 12m Höhe hat man bei dem 14m Mast an der Spitze einen Durchmesser von über 17mm und damit eine unvergleichliche Stabilität in solcher Höhe. Wir kommen damit dem Wunsch vieler Kunden nach, einen Mast zu haben, der in 12m Höhe das Gewicht einer kleinen Antenne tragen kann (bei unserem 12m HD Mast ist dies in 10m Höhe gegeben). Trotzdem bleibt der Mast handlich und passt ebenfalls in die 12m Mast-Transporttasche. Wer also seine Kleinantenne (bis 1KG) auf echten 12m Höhe installieren möchte, hat hiermit die Möglichkeit, einfach durch entnehmen der Segmente 14 und 13. Es gibt für diese Version auch ein bestellbares Extra Zubehör "Gewindestopfen mit Ringschraube" der das extrem steife dann oberste 17mm Rohr in 12m Höhe zur perfekten Befestigungsmöglichkeit macht. Wir nennen diesen Umbau die 12m XHD Version (X für Extra und HD für Heavy Duty). Wir empfehlen bei 14 Segmenten immer die Segmente mit den gummierten Edelstahl-Schellen zu Arretieren (als "Stopper"). Bei der beachtlichen Höhe von 14m Metern, dem Eigengewicht und den vielen Segmenten kann Feuchtigkeit und Wind immer mal zum Einrutschen der Klemmverbindung führen. Die Schellen als Stopper verhindern dann ein Einrutschten. Deshalb liegt das Material dafür diesem Standard Set bei. Abspannung Findige Funkamateure haben oft ihre eigenen Lösungen den Mast abzuspannen (um ihn gegen Umfallen abzusichern) und das ist gut so.Trotzdem empfehlen wir dafür unsere beiden speziellen Sicherheits-Abspann-Gurte (das passende 14m Abspanngurt Set ist im Onlineshop verfügbar).Dies flexiblen und sehr robusten Gurte fangen die Windkräfte perfekt und materialschonend ab, ohne die Flexibilität der Fiberglas Rohrsegmente zu behindern.(Plastik Ringe und sonstige starre Halterungen sind immer schlechter, allein schon weil sie die eliptische Verformung der Rohrsegmente unter Einwirken der Kräfte verhindern. Auf zwei Ebenen mit Gurten abgespannt und mit Schellen gesichert, kann dieser 14m HD Mast monatelang, wenn nicht sogar über viele Jahre draussen errichtet stehen.
